Jamestown Regional Airport, Edgeley and Oakes Municipal Airport authorities received federal funding for improvements, according to Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D., who made the announcement Thursday.

"North Dakota needs to have strong and reliable transportation infrastructure so our families, communities and businesses can live and work in our state," Heitkamp said. "These federal funds are important investments in sustaining quality and top-notch services at airports across North Dakota."

Jamestown Regional Airport received $50,000 that will be used to reconstruct more than 350 feet of the existing taxiway pavement.

Edgeley Municipal Airport Authority received $63,926 to rehabilitate the runway, apron and taxiway. Oakes Municipal Authority received $53,316 to reimburse the airport for its work to improve the existing access road to the airport.

Federal funding was also awarded to Hillsboro Municipal Airport Authority, Robert Odegaard Field in Kindred and Golden Valley County Airport Authority in Beach.
