Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) -- Officials with Great Lakes Airlines on Wednesday (Jun 13, 2012) held the official ribbon cutting, at Jamestown Regional Airport.

The airline recently began Essential Air Service flights at the airport, succeeding Delta Airline, which opted not to continue as the Jamestown EAS carrier.

On a recent Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2 (June 12) airport Manager Matthew Leitner said, that Great Lakes is working on lowering fares, which should be in place by June 15th this year.

He said Great Lakes is also addressing recent local concerns to smooth the transition from Delta, including implementing Delta Sky Miles with flights. Contact a local travel agency to book flights.
