JRA, Great Lakes Officials Discuss Changes and Improvements

Posted on 1/30/2013

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) - After struggling briefly with a transition to Great Lakes Airlines, Jamestown Regional Airport has seen increased numbers in addition to improved service for local travelers.

Matt Leitner, manager of Jamestown Regional Airport, says that while last year there were some kinks to work out in the process with Great Lakes, those issues have since been resolved and a revamped flight schedule effective Dec. 1 of last year to its hub of Minneapolis/St. Paul has made the transition much easier.

Monica Taylor-Lee, director of public relations for Great Lakes Airlines based out of Cheyenne, Wyo., says increased progress and development with its relationship with JRA has also given travelers several different options now to book their flights including the Great Lakes website, direct websites of airlines such as Delta, American and United, local travel agencies in addition to national websites such as Expedia and Orbitz.
